Kranti

True to her name, Kranti is a warrior — always ready with a bright, bold smile and a hunger to learn. I first met her five years ago as a small girl, and what struck me immediately was her gift for mathematics; she was exceptional at it even then. She has a slight stutter that somehow makes her all the more endearing, and a determined older brother whose discipline has helped hold the family together. She dreams of becoming a police officer.
